U15 boys fly for Thailand Saturday

Dhaka: The UEFA U15 Youth International Football Tournament will be held in Thailand from 10 to 14 December, 2018. The U15 boys will travel to Thailand to participate in the four-nation friendly tournament organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Under the UEFA ASSIST MINI TOURNAMENT PROJECT, Bangladesh will take part in the competition in Project Buriram in Thailand scheduled to begin on December 10, 2018. The Thailand FA is organizing the tournament in collaboration with the UEFA which will feature the Thai team, one team from UEFA which is Cyprus and two teams from the AFC which are Maldives and Bangladesh. To brief the media about the upcoming tournament, the Bangladesh Football Federation organized a press conference at 1.30 pm on Wednesday at the conference room of Motijheel BFF House. The briefing was attended by head coach Mostofa Anowar Parvej Babu, captain Md Mehedi Hasan, team manager Amit Khan Shuvro and deputy head of delegation Mahidur Rahman Miraz. BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag was also present at the briefing. Both the head coach and the captain are hopeful of beating Maldives. However, they acknowledged the capability and strength of Thailand and Cyprus and expressed their will to play well against both teams. Team Bangladesh will leave Dhaka for Thailand on TG-340 flight at 2:00pm on December 8, Saturday.
