N’ganj’s Rafi selected for Gazprom F4F

Dhaka, March 12: The 2018 Football for Friendship (F4F) will be held in Moscow, Russia, 8-15 June 2018.

In order to find out a footballer of 12 years of age (boy or girl), the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) held an open trial on March 12 (Monday) from 8:00am to 12:00pm at the BFF artificial turf ground in Motijheel.

Only those born between June 16, 2005 and May 16, 2006 were allowed to take part in the trial.

A total of 200 players took part in the trial.

The BFF ‘A’ licensed coaches, under the supervision of National Technical Director Pail Smalley, conducted the trial session.

After the 4-hour trial, Rafi Ratan of Madanganj Football Academy, Narayanganj was selected by the coaches to take part in the Gazprom F4F programme.

Notably, the Open Draw of 2018 Football for Friendship (F4F) was held on February 15, 2018 in Moscow.

F4F is the International Children’s Social programme implemented by Gazprom company – official partner of FIFA and the World Cup Russia 2018.

The goal of the programme is to involve the young generation throughout the world in promoting the most important human values among their peers – friendship, equality, peace and respect for different cultures and nationalities.211 countries and regions joined the Football for Friendship in 2018. The final events of the season will be held in Moscow, Russia, 8-15 June 2018.
