Bangladesh win 2-1 in second practice match

Mokpo: Bangladesh national team won in their second practice match of the ongoing South Korea tour. The Red and Greens beat local Sehan University Football Team 2-1 to bounce from their from their first match defeat. Bangladesh front man Saad Uddin took 10 minutes to break the deadlock and the team kept on attacking for a second goal but were let down by lack of quality finishing. Meanwhile, Echanon brought parity into the match from the spot in the 69th minute. However, Bangladesh did not lose their spirit and snatched the winner in the 85th minute through youngster Sufil. The match finished 2-1 on the final whistle. In a post-match reaction, head coach Jamie Day said, “The team played much better football in this match. Our boys played well and we’ll continue to work to keep the upward graph of improvement.” Team Manager Sattyajit Das Rupu said, “We played very well against Sehan University Team but again missed a lot of chances even when we dominated the whole match. We should’ve won this match by a bigger margin.” Bangladesh will play their third and final practice match at the same venue on August 6.
