Unbeaten Bangladesh clinch SAFF U15 title

Dhaka, December 24: The Bangladesh U15 women’s national football team has claimed the SAFF Championship by beating India.

The Bengal girls beat neighbours India 1-0 in the final match of the SAFF U15 Women’s Championship 2017 at the BSSSM Mostofa Kamal Stadium, Kamlapur in Dhaka on Sunday.

Bangladesh forward Shamsunnahar broke the deadlock in the forty first minute of the match to give the hosts a confidence boost in the title decider.

However, the red and greens failed to add to their lead even after scoring numerous chances in both the halves.

Finally, the U15 girls, along with the huge crowd present at the stadium, were roaring like champions when the referee blew the final whistle with the score-line at 1-0 in favour of Bangladesh.
