Bangladesh U16 girls have confirmed their ticket for playing in the final round of AFC U16 Women’s Championship beating Myanmar 1-0 in the second qualifying round in Mandalay, Myanmar. The girls are now greatly appreciated for their outstanding performance as they earned two back to back victories over their opponents Philippines and Myanmar. Even the Myanmar head coach San San Thein lauded the junior Bengal girls for their achievement saying, “Bangladesh team has several talented players. They are tactically & physically very good & experienced than Myanmar Team.” Bangladesh head coach Golam Robbani Choton also has not been frugal while commenting on his pupils’ performance. “I’m very happy that we’ve made our dreams come true reaching the Final round in Thailand for the second consecutive time. My team played brilliant against the hosts and beat them on their own ground and before their own audience. While expressing her feelings in the post-match prize giving ceremony, Bangladesh’s goal scorer Monika Chakma said, “I’m very happy and proud as I scored for my team & finally, we’ve reached in the Final round of the tournament.
