U16 girls leaving for Myanmar with high hopes

Dhaka: Bangladesh U16 women’s national team is leaving for Myanmar in the early hours of Saturday to take part in the second round of qualifiers of the AFC U16 Women’s Championship 2019 Thailand. A flight (TG-340) of Thai Airways carrying Bangladesh U16 women’s national team will leave Dhaka for Bangkok at 2:00am on February 23, Saturday. Before leaving Bangladesh for Myanmar, all the players and staff members expressed their confidence for doing well in the competition and qualifying for the finals. On Friday afternoon, the team met BFF president Kazi Salahuddin and exchanged greetings before a formal photoshoot. The President motivated the players to play well in the tournament and encouraged them to give it their all for themselves and the country. In the second round of qualifiers, Bangladesh will play in Group B against China, Philippines and Myanmar. In the first match, Bangladesh will play against Philippines on February 27. Then the team will face hosts Myanmar on March 1 before finishing the tournament on March 3 against China.
