U-16 seal tour with easy win

Paju, July 19: Bangladesh U-16 Women’s team completed their South Korean tour on a winning note defeating Oju Middlle School Women’s FC 3-0 on Wednesday.

The Bengal girls had a comfortable win, with Sanjida and Nargis scoring the first two goals while the goal scoring sensation Shopna completing the score line at the dying moments.

The team had flown to the South Korean city of Paju on July 10 to play four friendly matches and suffered a shaky start losing 6-0 to Korean U-16.

The girls bounced back after crushing Korean Yulmyun Middle School team by 9-0 goals in the 2nd match.

Afterwards, the girls have completed a well-fought 2-2 draw against South Korean Hwacheon Information Industry High School Women’s Football Club.

After being down by 2 goals at the end of the first half, the girls valiantly fought back strongly after changing strategy with Sanjida giving a glimmer of hope at the 73rd minute with a goal. Defender Shamsunnahar scored the equalizing goal which settled the game 2-2.
