Time to test the training on field: Coach Jamie

Jakarta: The Bangladesh National Football Team have arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday to compete in the Asian Games 2018, which has fixtures set for matches against Uzbekistan, Qatar and Thailand. National Team coach Jamie Day puts his bet on the intense training of the boys to put up an amazing show in Jakarta. Recently, the team took part in international level practice sessions in South Korean capital Seoul before landing at Jakarta. When asked if the team is well prepared to face higher ranking teams like Qatar, Uzbekistan and Thailand in their preliminary pool, the coach said the team practiced really hard and it is time to put the training into action. Jamie added that deciding on the starting 11 has been tough as every member of the team showed their potential on the training grounds. However, he hopes to deploy the best combination for success in the Asian Games, which will start officially from August 18, but the preliminary football matches have already started. Bangladesh will face Uzbekistan in their first preliminary match on August 14. The red and greens will lock horns against Thailand on August 16 and against Qatar on August 19. The British coach Jamie Day has been with team Bangladesh for the past 6 weeks and he said the team has changed some of their habits. “They have started eating the right food and have been regularly working in the gym. This was not the case before we took over.” When asked about his promised surprises in the upcoming matches, the coach said the team is set to face three top tier teams and everyone is firing for their best shots. “Hopefully, the boys will show the same performance they did while training.” He added that the team has the desire not to lose and will work together for good results.
