Sheikh Russel thrash Muktijoddha 6-1

Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra thrashed their BPL opponents Muktijoddha Krira Shangha 6-1 in their BPL meeting at Sheikh Fazlul Haq Moni Stadium in Gopalganj on Wednesday afternoon. Russel’s foreign recruit Valerii opened the goal fest at the eighth minute of the game netting his first goal. At the 15th minute, Raphael doubled the lead for Russel scoring from a penalty kick. 11 minutes later, Alison joined the party to make the score line 3-0. Valerii scored his second goal at the 67th minute of the play to rewrite the score line 4-0. After digesting four goals, Muktijoddha could unseal the goal post of Russel at the 75th minute when their foreign striker Ballo hit the ground. At the 87th minute, Sheikh Russel got their fifth goal from Biplu while Raphael netted his second at the first additional minute of the match. After this win, Sheikh Russel are the third of the points table with 48 points from 22 matches while Muktijoddha are at the ninth place with 23 points from 22 matches.
