S. Korea prove too hot to handle for U19 girls

Dushanbe: Bangladesh U19 women’s national team succumbed to a 7-0 defeat at the hands of Asian powerhouse South Korea in the AFC U19 Women’s Championship 2019 qualifiers on Wednesday. The Red and Greens faced the first setback in the 8th minute at the Pamir Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The teams went into the breaking with Bangladesh trailing the East Asians 3-0. Even though the Bengal girls tried hard to get back into the game in the second half, the girls in scarlet red put four more goals into the Bangladeshi net in the second half. The referee blew the final whistle ending a forgettable afternoon for the U19 girls. Bangladesh play their second match of the AFC U19 Women’s Championship 2019 qualifiers against Chinese Taipei at 3:00pm (BDST) on Friday, October 26.
