National Teams Committee Meeting

A virtual meeting of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) National Teams Committee held on Thursday ( July 16) at 1:00 pm. BFF Vice-President and chairman of National Teams Committee Kazi Nabil Ahmed MP, BFF Vice-President and deputy chairman of committee Tabith Awal, BFF executive committee member Amirul Islam Babu, Team Manager Satyajit Das Rupu, Anwarul Haq Helal, Imtiaz Hamid Sabuj, BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag were present in the meeting.
The committee has decided to start the isolated Camp for the national team from August 7 (August 7, 8 and 9) at Sarah Resort in Gazipur. The participating footballers will test COVID-19 on their own responsibilities on August 4,5 and 6. Later, they will again undergo the COVID-19 tests step by step on August 7, 8 and 9 in the camp.
After the meeting, BFF Vice-President and chairman of National Teams Committee Kazi Nabil Ahmed said, “Bangladesh will play their first match of FIFA-AFC joint qualifiers on October 8. Ahead of the match, they will start their training camp from August 7 at Sarah Resort in Gazipur. Some 30 booters will initially continue the training camp until August 21.
The participating footballers will test COVID-19 on their own responsibilities before joining the camp. If anyone tested positive, he need not take part in the training camp. BFF will also arrange covid-19 tests in the camp. The federation will take help from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in this regard. We will follow the FIFA-AFC health guidelines.
Those selected 30 players will undergo a two-week quarantine ahead of the main preparation camp which will start from August 21. During these two weeks, booters -- split into six to seven groups -- will do physical exercises. Each group will consist of 4-5 members.
Ahead of starting the main training camp, six-member coaching staff (Head coach, assistant coaches, goalkeeper coach, physio and match analyst) will join the isolation camp. The foreign coaching staff will also test COVID-19 on their own responsibilities before joining the camp. They will again undergo the COVID-19 tests in the camp.
BFF hasn’t made a decision on practice matches for booters, we are trying to arrange matches. The 30-member list will be disclosed next week.”
BFF Vice-President and deputy chairman of committee Tabith Awal said, “Our coaching staffs are ready to join the camp. They informed BFF that they would join the camp at time.
