Kiron re-elected to AFC Congress for second straight term

Kuala Lumpur: Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) executive committee member Mahfuza Akhter Kiron has been re-elected to the 29th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Congress for the second consecutive term. Kiron, also the chairman of Bangladesh Women’s Football Committee, was elected as a member of the AFC Female Executive Committee (South Zone) in the election held during the AFC congress 2019 in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur on April 6. Almost all the representatives from different countries of AFC voted for her. Apart from this, she has also been elected a council member of FIFA for the second straight term. All the BFF executive members, standing committee members, women’s football committee members and the players of the national men and women teams congratulate her on this glorious achievement. Notably, Kiron has also been serving as one of the Executive Committee members of South West Asian Football Federation (SWAFF) since August last year.
