JFA U14 Women’s National Championship 2017: Final round starts Nov 2

Dhaka, November 1: Organized by the BFF, the preliminary round of the JFA U14 Women’s National Football Championship 2017 ended on August 25.

The matches of the preliminary round were played in 6 venues (Laxmipur, Gaibandha, Rajbari, Jessore, Rajshahi and Sherpur) where 6 teams emerged as zonal champions.

Now, with those 6 teams and 2 best runners-up teams, the final round of the tournament will begin in November in Dhaka.

The teams are as follows:

Gaibandha venue – Thakurgaon U14 team

Rajshahi venue – Rajshahi U14 team

Laxmipur venue – Comilla U14 team

Rajbari venue – Rajbari U14 team

Jessore venue – Satkhira U14 team

Sherpur venue – Mymensingh U14 team

1st runners-up – Tangail U14 team

2nd runners-up – Manikganj U14 team

 

With these 8 teams, the final round of the JFA U14 Women’s National Football Championship 2017 is all set to begin at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka on November 2.

Ahead of the final round, a press conference was held at 3:00pm on November 1 at the BFF House in Motijheel area of capital Dhaka.

FIFA Council member and BFF Women’s Football Committee Chairman Mahfuza Akhter Kiron was present at the conference and replied to the queries of the journalists.

Among others, BFF General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, sponsor organization Walton Group’s Operative Director and Head of Department (Sports and Welfare) FM Iqbal Don, BFF Women’s Football Committee members Kamrunnahar Lily Aziz, Mahbuba Karim Mini and Nasrin Aktar Baby were also present.

Prize-money and other details of the completion were revealed at the press conference.

This year, the champion team will get Tk 50,000 as prize-money, champions’ trophy and winners’ medals.

The runners-up will get a trophy, medals and Tk 25,000 as prize-money.

Moreover, fair play award, top goal-scorer, best player, best rising star, best goalkeeper, best defender, best striker and best local venue awards will also be given away.

Each of the 8 teams will get Tk 25,000 as participation money and match-balls.

Notably, the residence and transportation of all the teams have already been arranged.

The final round will kick off on Thursday at 2:00pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium with the match between Thakurgaon U14 team and Rajbari U14 team.
