BFF arranges virtual meeting regarding Academy Accreditation Scheme


The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) are acknowledging a number of Academies across the country as part of the Academy Accreditation Scheme. Having launched the scheme in 2020 the Federation has forged relationships with over 200 Academies and awarded a Two (2) Star to 1 Academy and One (1) Star rating for the first cohort of 77 Academies in total of 78 (28 academies inside Dhaka Division and 50 academies from other divisions) who had submitted applications.
Today the Federation has awarded One (1) Star rating to a further 24 Academies (6 academies inside Dhaka Division and 18 academies from other divisions) in recognition of their outstanding development work and who fulfil BFF, AFC and FIFA recognized criteria. The ceremony was organized virtually and was attended by the BFF Executive Committee Members Mr. Zakir Hossain Choudhury and Mr. Mohidur Rahman Miraz, Federation’s General Secretary Mr. Abu Nayeem Shohag who was also present in the meeting and commented on the development work that Academies are doing nationwide, "We see more players being introduced into Football by the efforts of these Academies, the coaches, the officials and stakeholders. This is a healthy situation we are in at the moment, amidst the Global Pandemic."

The Federation is assisting the District Football Association to better support clubs, Academies and to bring together all elements of Football Development. The Federation will directly continue to assist Academies to sustain and increase football participation and promote and raise the profile of quality Academies across Bangladesh.
