Emergency meeting of the sub-committee of the Professional League Management Committee
Today, 23rd June, 2021 at 4.00 pm, Mr. Abdus Salam Murshedy-MP, Chairman of the Professional League Management Committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation and Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh Football Federation chaired the rest of the session of an emergency meeting of the sub-committee of the Professional League Management Committee on 'Bangladesh Premier League 2020-21 through online platform Zoom adjourned on 22 June, 2021.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman and other members of the committee. It was decided that after the long break due to FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 'and' AFC Asian Cup China 2023 (Preliminary Joint Round-2) ', the 2nd phase of League 2020-21 will resume with the match between Bashundhara Kings and Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society will be played at Bangabandhu National Stadium from 26 June 2021 and the match between Abahani Limited Dhaka vs Mohammedan Sporting Limited will be held on 27 June 2021 at the same venue. It was also decided that if any match was abandoned due to rain, all the games would be held in a bodily shift.
The BFF's Professional League Management Committee has decided to organize 'Bangladesh Premier League 2020-21' games at other venues inside Dhaka as it is not possible for the Ministry of Health and Family Planning of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to organize games outside Dhaka due to the situation related to COVID-19. However, if the situation regarding Covid-19 is normal, it will be held at 4 venues like before, namely, 1) Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka 2) Birshreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium, Munshiganj 3) Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium, Tongi and 4) Bahasa Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium, Cumilla.
