Bengal girls reach Nepal

Biratnagar: Bangladesh national women’s team has reached Biratnagar, Nepal to compete in the SAFF Women’s Championship 2019. The team has been accommodated at Hotel Xenial Pvt. Ltd. in Biratnagar where they will be staying during the whole tournament. On Monday, the Red and Greens will have their first one-hour training session at 1:00pm at the match venue – Sahid Rangashala Stadium, Biratnagar, Nepal. The match coordination meeting and the pre-match press conference of all six participating teams will also be held tomorrow. The weather condition in Biratnagar is similar to Bangladesh with slightly colder evenings. Meanwhile, before going to Nepal, all the players and staff of Bangladesh team had expressed their commitment of giving it their best to come home with some silverware in their bag. Bangladesh is in Group A with Nepal and Bhutan as Pakistan have withdrawn from the competition. On the other hand, Group B consists of India, Sri Lanka and Maldives. Even though the tournament begins on March 12, Bangladesh will play their first match against Bhutan on March 14 at the Sahid Rangashala Stadium, Biratnagar, Nepal.
