AFC U-16 Qualifiers: BD girls thrash Bahrain 10-0

Dhaka, September 17: Bangladesh U-16 girls have outclassed Bahrain with a massive 10-0 win in the AFC U-16 Qualifiers match held in Bir Sherestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur. Five goals in the first half and five more scored in the second sealed the much needed win for Bangladesh. Anuching Mogini, Shamsunnahar Jr. and Maria Manda scored two goals each while Anai Mogini, Sajeda, Shamsunnahar Sr. and Tahura Khatun netted once each. As a rival, Bahrain girls could not make any threat to Bangladesh as Bangladesh goalkeeper Rupna Chakma had not to save a single shot. Right-back Anai Mogini started the flow at the 12th minutes of the match. Her cross found a place in the right corner of the net. Four minutes later, Captain Maria Manada scored her first and doubled the team score. At the 19th minute, Anuching Mogini placed the ball into the net to make the score 3-0. At the 35th minute, Anuching stroke again to make her double. Shamsunnahar Jr made the score 5-0 before the break. The goal festival resumed once again in the second half at 55 minutes as Sajeda scored from a perfectly taken shot. Two minutes later, Shamsunnahar Junior scored her second, making the score line 7-0. Just a minute later, Bahrain midfielder Dana Bassem had to leave the field as she got her second yellow card for tackling Shamsunnahar foul in the box. This time sparked Shamsunnahar Senior making the score 8-0 with a goal from spot-kick. At the 72nd minute, Captain Maria scored for the second time which made the score line 9-0. At the 86th minute of the play, Tahura scored her only goal and thus the team got a double-digit score. The exciting Bangladesh team will lock horns with Lebanon in their next match on Wednesday (September 19).
