Uttar Baridhara thrash Agrani Bank 4-1; Swadhinata beat T&T 2-1

Uttar Baridhara Club finished their Bangladesh Championship League 2018-19 with a commanding 4-1 victory over Agrani Bank Limited Sporting Club at BSSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur, Dhaka on Thursday afternoon. Zikon, Sumon, Jewel and Arif registered their names on the scoresheet for Uttar Baridhara while Agrani Bank’s only goal was scored by Helal. Uttar Baridhara finishes the season at runners-up with 33 points from 20 games and will be promoted to play in the Bangladesh Premier League next season. And despite showing some promise in the earlier stages, Agrani Bank finishes at sixth with 26 points from 20 games. In the other match of the day, bottom table Swadhinata KS pulled off a last hurrah by beating fourth placed T&T Club, Motijheel 2-1. Samir got the first goal of the match for T&T but Abdur scored two in quick succession to make sure his side signed off from Bangladesh Championship League with a victory as Swadhinata are rock bottom and doomed to be relegated to DMFLC Senior Division Football League next season.
