U16 Women’s Championship final round to begin Saturday

The final round of the BFF-UNICEF U16 National Women’s Football Championship 2019 is set to begin at BSSSM Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the capital’s Kamalapur on July 20, Saturday. The best eight teams of the qualifying round will fight each other for the title of this talent hunt event. Ahead of the tournament, the BFF organized a press conference at the BFF House this afternoon.BFF Women’s Football Committee Chairman Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, Unicef Communication Officer Iftikhar Ahmed Chowdhury and BFF Secretary General Abu Nayeem Sohag briefed the reporters about different aspects of the competition. The participating teams have been split into two groups. Mymensingh, Gopalganj, Lalmonirhat and Rangamati are drawn in the group A while group two has been composed of Magura, Khagrachari, Narayanganj and Rajshahi. The tournament will be opened with a group A match between Mymensingh and Rangamati districts at 2 pm on July 20, Saturday. According to the tournament’s fixture, there will be two matches at 2 pm and 4 pm everyday till July 26, Friday. The tournament will be wrapped up with the final match at 4 pm on July 27, Saturday.
