Shadhin Bangla Football Team member Amalesh Sen no more

Dhaka, October 7: Sri Amalesh Sen, former National Footballer who had played in the Shadhin Bangla Football Team, has breathed his last in the Bangladesh Medical Hospital on Saturday at 7pm.

He was 72 during his demise.

Sen was appointed as the assistant coach of Dhaka Abahani Ltd.

Amalesh Sen has left behind his wife, two sons and numerous well-wishers.

During his professional footballing career, Sen had played the game of football for Dhaka Abahani Ltd, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Fire Service, East End Club and other professional teams.

BFF President Kazi Salahuddin, Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy, vice presidents, executive committee members, general secretaries and all employees of the federation have expressed their condolences over to Sen’s family members at their time of sorrow.

The body of Amalesh Sen was brought at the Abahani Club premises at around 9pm, where people from all walks of life paid their last respects to him.
