School Football Championship with 53 teams soon

Dhaka, December 30: Bangladesh Football Federation is all set to roll the school football across the country from February next.

The decision was taken by the School Football Committee of the BFF in a meeting held at the BFF House on Saturday.

Presided over by the chairman of the committee Bijon Barua, the meeting decided to roll the tournamnet, designed to to produce the stars of the futrure involving 53 districts. These teams will be split into eight zones.

The teams will be competing in a two group league phase in the first round with the eight zonal champions getting involved in the final round. The final round will also be a two group league affair.

BFF reaffrimed to be strict on the age level as the players age will be verified with the birth certificates, admit cards of the exams and if required by doctors test.

Each school will be alowed to register maximium 20 players for its team.

The meeting also decided to launch the school football with a grand opening ceremony.

The comittee also declared that the talented players who catch the eyes of the responsible scouts will undergo a long term coaching conducted by BFF itself.
