Nazmul, Mithu, Nahid, Lakra meet BFF President

The four footballing prodigies, who are set to go to Brazil for a month long training camp, met BFF President Kazi Salahuddin at the BFF Secretariat on Monday, June 24. The Sports Department and the Ministry of Youth and Sports are sending these four youngsters to Brazil for modern football training. The four youngsters are – defender Nazmul Hossain Akand, midfielders Omar Faruk Mithu, Md Latifur Rahman Nahid and forward Jogen Lakra. The players will leave here for Brazil at 1:40am on June 26, Wednesday. Before embarking on the unique endeavour, the players met the BFF President and other guests at the BFF Secretariat before attending a press conference. State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel, MP, Brazil Ambassador to Bangladesh Tabajara de Oliveira Junior, Deputy Secretary of Youth and Sports Dr. Md Jafar Uddin, Director of Foreign Ministry MJH Jabed and Sports Department Director Mominur Rahman were present at the press conference. FIFA Council member, AFC Executive Committee member, BFF Executive Committee member and chairman of the women’s football committee Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, BFF member Md Shawkat Ali Khan Jahangir and BFF general secretary Md Abu Nayeem Shohag were also present at the press conference.
