Jamal thrash Rahmatganj 4-0 with late flurry of goals

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited waited till the final quarter of the game to blow Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society away with a 4-0 victory in the Bangladesh Premier League 2018-19 at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka on Wednesday evening. After the goalless first half, the second half did not hint any changes and it felt like the game was heading for a goalless draw. However, everything changed in the last few minutes of the game and it all started with Jamal getting awarded a penalty. Solomon King converted the spot-kick in the 73rd minute to give his side the lead. He then scored a brace of penalties in the 82nd minute much to the dismay of Rahmatganj players. Rahmatganj’s night became worse when Emil Samboa netted a third for Jamal in the 87th minute. Rony then put the final nail on Rahmatganj’s coffin when he scored in the 8th added minute after the regulation time was over. With the win, Sheikh Jamal moved up to the sixth spot on the BPL table with 18 points from 15 games whereas Rahmatganj slipped to ninth with 15 points from as many games.
