GK Level 1 coaching course to start April 27

Dhaka: As part of its long-term football development plan, Bangladesh Football Federation has arranged the third edition of the six-day long AFC Goalkeepers’ Level 1 Coaching Course. The course, which has been organized to train better coaches in order to pick out talented goalkeepers, is set to begin on April 27 and will continue till May 2. 21 candidates have been selected against a total of 24 available seats for the course. Among the selected candidates, one is from India while the rest are from various top-level clubs of the country as well as from district level. The course will include roughly 2 days of theoretical coaching and 4 days of practical training as per the requirements of the modern game. Coaches who have been chosen for the course must continue their work in this chosen field of football specialization. AFC Goalkeeping Instructor Dean May will conduct the course. He conducted the course back in 2018 as well. Besides, the experienced goalkeeping specialist was also recruited by the BFF for the national men’s teams for a short term just a month back.
