Ex national player Montu no more

Dhaka: Former national team player and Bangladesh Football Federation national football coach Md Ahsanullah Montu has passed away.

The decorated football player breathed his last after suffering from a cardiac arrest at his own residence at 10:00 pm on Tuesday, 26 June 2018.

He was only 56 at the time of his demise.

The star footballer played for Dhaka giants Mohammedan SC Ltd. and many other top clubs during his playing days.

Montu left behind his wife, a son, two daughters and numerous well-wishers to mourn his death.

His Janaza (funeral) prayer was held at the BFF House premises at 11:00 am on Wednesday.

Montu will be laid to eternal rest after the Zohr prayer at Azimpur Graveyard.

BFF President Kazi Salahuddin, Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy, vice presidents, executive committee members, general secretaries and all employees of the federation have expressed their condolences over to Montu’s family members and prayed for the eternal peace of his soul.
