Emergency meeting of BFF Professional League Committee Held on March 17
The emergency meeting of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Professional Football
League Committee, chaired by BFF Senior Vice-President and Committee Chairman Abdus
Salam Murshedy MP, held at the board room of BFF house in Motijheel on March
17.
The representatives of 13 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) clubs,
BFF General Secretary Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, BFF executive committee members and
officials were present there.
The committee decided to suspend all the matches of ongoing 12th
BPL until the March 31 due to the alarming situation arose from COVID-19
(Coronavirus) pandemic throughout the country and will be suspended till the
next directives.
After the meeting, Abdus Salam Murshedy MP also greeted all on
the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on behalf of the Professional Football League Committee.
BFF Senior Vice-President said, “We have suspended our all domestic
leagues including BPL after getting directives from Ministry for Youth and
Sports until March 31. We will hold the next meeting at the end of this month,
likely on March 28 or 29, for taking the further decisions.”
