Abahani Ltd founder and director Shakhawat M Chowdhury passed away on Monday evening at the age of 68.
The veteran sports organizer breathed his last due to old age complications at his Dhanmondi residence around 7 pm yesterday.
He founded Abahani Ltd along with his close friend Bangabandhu son Sheikh Kamal. He served as one of the directors of the club till his last day.
Shakhawat M Chowdhury lived by his wife, one son and one daughter and a number of well-wishers.
BFF president Kazi Md Salahuddin, senior vice president, vice presidents, general secretary, executive members, standing committee members and other officials have mourned at his death.
They also conveyed their deep condolences to late Shakhawat M Chowdhury’s family and prayed for his departed soul.
