BFF inks 5-year sponsorship deal with MP & Silva

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Football Federation has signed a 5-year sponsorship contract with MP & Silva.

AS per the deal, the company will provide Tk.8 crore every year for the next 5 years as sponsors for different tournaments arranged by the BFF.

The decision to sign the deal was taken at the 11th Executive Committee meeting on Saturday, June 2, at 5pm in the BFF Board Room with BFF President Kazi Salahudding at the chair.

MP & Silva is an international media rights company based in London, with 13 offices around the globe. The company manages sports TV rights for a range of international sporting events and distributes around 10,000 hours of programming to some 500 broadcasters globally. The company’s portfolio includes FIFA World Cup rights, senior European football leagues, Grand Slam tennis, motor racing, handball, baseball, volleyball, and boxing.

Some other decisions were in the meeting as well.

As per the committee, the Financial Manual of the BFF will be finalized with the assistance from representatives of the AFC.

Secondly, the contract with the newly appointed National Football Coach Jamie Day was finalized, which mentions his tenure till the upcoming SAFF, Asian Games and Bangabandhu Cup tournaments. An assistant coach and goalkeeping coach will also join Jamie soon.

All operations of the standing and ad hoc committees (disciplinary, player status and appeal) of the federation have been suspended till the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and the committees will be rearranged as per the decision of BFF President Kazi Salahuddin. Following the decision, only the chairmen of the running committees will run operations upon consultations with the BFF executives.
