Today 7th March (Monday) Bangladesh Football Federation received confirmation that they have been awarded a One (1) Star Recognition as part of the AFC Elite Youth Scheme for the BFF Elite Female Academy. This achievement is historic and so memorable as it's the first recognition of a female Academy in whole Asia. This is a culmination work of Ms. Mahfuza Akter Kiron, BFF Women's Wing Chairman & Member of Executive Committee and the technical & support staff that has done in Women's Football and in the development of Elite female players in a fully resourced Academy. The success of the Academy has seen great success in SAFF and AFC Competitions. Bangladesh Football Federation are pleased to be recognized by AFC for its approach to talent development. Chairman of Women's Wing Ms. Mahfuza Akter Kiron commented, "It's a proud moment for Women's Football in Bangladesh." The General Secretary of BFF Mr. Md Abu Nayeem Shohag commented, "We recognize the need to invest in young talented and gifted players."
