Bashundhara thrash Mohammedan 4-1

Dhaka: Big guns Bashundhara Kings steamrolled over Dhaka giants Mohammedan SC as they overcame the latter 4-1 in a Round 11 clash of the Bangladesh Premier League 2018-19 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka on Sunday. Bashundhara were the ones who broke the deadlock in the 19th minute of the match through Marcos. However, Mohammedan were quick to cancel their lead when Landing netted for the Black and Whites just a minute later. Then Bashundhara forward Matin Miah put Bashundhara back in the lead in the 37th minute before Marcos scored his second in the 44th minute to take his team into break leading Mohammedan 3-1. In the second half, it was more of the same story but the Dhaka giants managed to keep the scoreline unchanged till the 83rd minute. Foreign recruit Baktyiar scored the fourth and final goal of the match to put the cherry on top of a very tasty cake for Bashundhara Kings. With the win, Bashundhara extended their lead at the top of the table to four points while Mohammedan slump to 11th with three consecutive defeats.
