Bangamata Gold Cup: Semifinalists promise to give opponents a good fight

Dhaka: The semifinalist teams have expressed their hope to go up to the final of the ongoing Bangamata Women’s International Gold Cup 2019. The coaches and the captains of the four semifinalist teams have come up with the expectations while talking to reporters about their preparations ahead of the semifinal round of the tournament at a media conference at Matijheel BFF House on Sunday noon. Group A champion Laos coach Vong Mi Say, captain Aphat Sala, Group B champion Bangladesh coach Golam Rabbani Choton, captain Mishrat Jahan Moushumi, Group A runners up Mongolia coach Ganbold, captain Undral, Group B runners up Kyrgyzstan coach Nataliya Gaivoronskaya and captain Toktobolotovd were present at the breifing. The team representatives have promised to give a good fight to their respective opponents. During the briefing, Laos and hosts Bangladesh have been recognized as favorites in the semifinal round. Bangladesh coach Choton and captain Moushumi urged the fans to wish the team good luck and to come to the stadium to inspire the girls with roars. The six-nation tournament has begun at Bangabandhu National Stadium on April 22 with the participation of Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Tajikistan, UAE and hosts Bangladesh. Group A champion Laos will face group B runners up Kyrgyzstan in the first semifinal on Monday while group B champion Bangladesh will play against group B runners up Mongolia on Tuesday. Both the matches will kick off at 6 pm.
