Dhaka: Dhaka Abahani Limited is ready and raring to take to the field against India’s Minerva Punjab in their second match of AFC Cup 2019.
In their first home match of this season, Dhaka Abahani will take on Minerva Punjab at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka at 5:45pm on Wednesday, April 17.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is organizing the home match for Dhaka Abahani under the supervision of Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the supreme football authority in the continent.
Ahead of the match, a press conference was held at the BFF House in Motijheel at 12:30 pm on Tuesday.
Minerva’s head coach Sachin Badadhe, captain Souvik Das; Abahani’s head coach Mario Lemos and captain Shahidul Alam Sohel were present at the press conference.
Both the teams expressed their optimism about winning the match to take away full three points from the game.
Earlier, on Monday, Minarva Punjab team arrived in the capital to play their second Group E (South) match of AFC Cup 2019 against Dhaka Abahani, one of the dominant clubs in Bangladesh’s football.
Notably, Abahani Ltd. Dhaka have already bagged three points in the competition by beating Nepal’s Manang Marshyangdi Club in the first match away from home. On the other hand, Minerva Punjab currently has only a point to their name after playing out a goalless draw against fellow Indians Chennaiyin FC in their first match.
