Dhaka: The 70th birth anniversary of martyr Sheikh Kamal, founder of the Abahani Club, is on Monday, August 5.
To commemorate the occasion, Abahani Ltd Dhaka has organized day-long events. At 12:01am on Monday, a floral wraith will be placed on the portrait of Sheikh Kamal in the club premises which will be followed by prayer recitals for his soul. There will also be Quran recital throughout the day.
A discussion session will be held on the colorful life of the martyred freedom fighter and son of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at 4pm at the club grounds. Milad and Dua mahfil will be held after Asr prayers.
Abahani Ltd Dhaka has invited people from all walks of life to participate in the day-long events.
