Abahani, Bashundhara Kings geared up for Federation Cup final

Dhaka: Abahani Ltd Dhaka and Bashundhara Kings will face off at the final of the Federation Cup 2018 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday, November 23. The exciting match between the two big-shot teams will kick off at 4:30pm. The Walton Federation Cup 2018 Powered by Premier Bank Ltd started in October 27 at the national stadium. A pre-match press conference with the team managers, coaches and captains of the two teams took place at the BFF Conference Room in Dhaka’s Motijheel on Thursday, November 22 at 12pm. BFF Senior Vice-President and Chairman of the Professional League Committee Abdus Salam Murshedy and federation’s General Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag replied to different queries from reporters during the press conference. Abahani’s chief coach SM Zakaria Babu, assistant manager Kazi Nazrul Islam and Captain Alam Sohel attended the press conference for the sky blues. On behalf of Bashundhara Kings, assistant coach Abu Foysal and team Captain Touhidul Alam Sobuj attended the press briefing. “We will have a good match and we want the hat-trick trophy. We are the favourites in the tournament and the final will be in our grip if we can play well,” Abahani team captain told journalists. The first time finalists Bashundhara Kings also has a positive outlook. “We are playing the final for the first time. We want to play our best to become the champions. But I have to say. Abahani Ltd Dhaka is a very formidable opponent,” the Bashundhara Team coach said.
