Dhaka: The Bangladesh Premier League 2018-19 was slated to kick-off on November 30, 2018 in 7 different venues for the first time.
However, the 11th national election is scheduled to be held on December 30, 2018.
Citing several inconveniences ahead of the election, the participating clubs of BPL 2018-19 had submitted an application to postpone the kick-off the country’s top tier football.
Taking their request into cognizance, the BFF Professional Football League Committee on Sunday decided to postpone the kick-off of BPL 2018-19 to the first week of January, 2019.
On the other hand, Independence Cup 2018 is now set to begin on November 30, 2018 (tentative) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka.
