Dhaka: The Bangladesh Premier League 2018-19, to be hosted in 7 venues across the country, will begin from the first week of January, 2019.
The first division league was scheduled to begin from November 30, 2018 but the matches have been rescheduled due to the upcoming national election slated for December 30 this year. The decision was taken following a petition from the participating teams.
The decision about the rescheduling was taken at a meeting of the BFF Professional Football League Committee at the federation’s board room on Monday, November 18.
Committee president Abdus Salam Murshedy presided over the meeting.
The committee has also decided that the Independence Cup 2018 will probably be kicked off from November 30.
