Salma Akhter Moni played the role of the first female referee in Bangladesh

Today, on 16 August 2021, FIFA female assistant referee Salma Akhter Moni played the role of the first female referee in the history of the Bangladesh Football in the match between Arambagh Krira Shangha vs Uttar Baridhara Club of "Bangladesh Premier League 2020-21", the highest football league in Bangladesh at the Bir Sherestha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur. 

Salma Akhtar Moni's achievement will be a milestone in the history of football in the country. Honorable President of BFF Mr. Kazi Md. Salah Uddin, Senior Vice President, Vice Presidents, Members of Executive Committee, General Secretary Mr. Md. Abu Nayeem Shohag, all standing committees and BFF officials and employees congratulated her on this achievement.
