BPL second phase from May 6

Dhaka: The professional football league committee of Bangladesh Football Federation held a meeting at Matijheel BFF House on Wednesday to make several important decisions. The meeting started at 3 pm with committee chairman Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP in the chair. The meeting, at the beginning, took mourning proposals for the victims of some recent time incidents including Christchurch mosque attack, Sri Lanka church attack and madrasa student Nusrat killing in Feni. Later, the meeting unanimously made three major decisions – 1. The second phase of Bangladesh Premier League will begin from May 6. 2. A football league or tournament will be arranged for the U17 or U18 teams of the clubs representing at Bangladesh Premier League and Bangladesh Championship League. 3. The committee also congratulated BFF executive member and BFF women’s football committee chairman Mahfuza Akhter Kiron on her reelection to the AFC congress for the second consecutive term.
