BFF will organize 'Bangabandhu National Championship 2021'
Bangladesh Football Federation will organize 'Bangabandhu National Championship 2021'. This competition is being held on the occasion of celebration of the birth Centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The competition game is starting from 03-12-2021.
The competition will be held at 65th venues across the country with the participation of District Football Team, Services Team (Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Police), Bangladesh Sports Academy and University Football Team and Education Boards under BFF.
On this occasion, Draw event of the competition was held today at 1:30 pm in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the BFF building in Motijheel.
BFF Member and Chairman of Competitions Committee Harunur Rashid, BFF Member and Member of Competitions Committee Tipu Sultan, BFF Member Md. Ilyas Hossain and BFF General Secretary Md. Abu Nayeem Shohag along with other members of Competitions Committee were present on this event.
'Bangabandhu National Championship 2021' games will be held as follows:
01| Home and Away system of primary / regional games will be held in 89th regions of the country.
02| Opposing teams will be determined by lottery to play on a home and away basis for participating teams in the same region.
03| At the end of the regional / primary round home and away match, the winning team will participate in the next cup stage home and away match based on the overall result. The losing teams will play in the home and away game of the next plate episode. In this method each team has to participate in at least four games.
04| The main event will be held with the participation of 8/9 winning teams from 8/9 regions of the country. It will be organized immediately after the preliminary episode and will be informed later about its playing method and other issues.
05| BFF will appoint 5 (five) match officials ( one match commissioner, one referee, two assistant referees and one 4th referee) for conducting each game. Their accommodation and travel expenses will be carry by BFF.
06| Match will be held every Friday/Saturday and Monday/Tuesday of each week. The primary round will be held from 03-12-2021.
07| Each participating team will be get two sets of jerseys (eighteen players) and two officials and five footballs for practice by BFF.
08| Each participating district will be given a total of 100,000 taka by BFF for organizing and participating in Home and Away based games. 10th thousand taka will be provided by BFF for traveling allowance only for the teams advanced to the finals of the Cup / Plate stage of the Preliminary / Regional stage.
