Today August 15, 2021, is national mourning day. On the occasion of the 46th martyrdom anniversary of the father of the nation the best Bengali of the millennium Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members, the Holy Quran was recited at the BFF building in Motijheel from 9:00 am today, 15 August 2021 under the management of Bangladesh Football Federation. Wreath-laying on the portraits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members and Munajat were held at Motijheel BFF Bhaban at 2:15 pm. Food was distributed among the poor and deprived people at Motijheel BFF building at 2.30 pm after Juhr. After Asr, a prayer mahfil has been held at Jhilpar Jame Mosque adjacent to the building at Motijheel. Honorable President of BFF Kazi Md. Salahuddin, FIFA Council Member and BFF and AFC Member Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, BFF Member and Chairman of Media Committee Mr. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, BFF Member Mr. Md. Ilias Hossain, BFF Member Mr. Imtiaz Hamid (Shabuj), BFF Member Md. Amer Khan, BFF General Secretary Mr. Md. Abu Nayeem Shohag, Former BFF Member Mr. Shawkat Ali Khan Jahangir, Former BFF Member Iqbal Hossain, President of Kurigram District Football Association Manas Chandra Das Dhalu and other BFF officials and players of the Bangladesh women's national football team were present on the occasion.
