Jamal sink Mohammedan 3-0

Dhaka, November 14: Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club continued their dominance over Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club in the Bangladesh Premier League winning 3-0 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Tuesday.

Jamal, who beat the traditional black and white outfit 2-0 in the first phase, went ahead in the 39th minute riding on the strike of Gambian forward Solomon King. Solomon kept his cool to tap the ball home after Mohammedan goalie Rasel Mahmud Liton lost the grip from a grounder of Jamal winger Md. Javed (1-0).

Four minutes after the first goal, Nigerian forward Rafael headed a Jahed Parvez corner into the net putting Jamal in a 2-0 lead.

Rafael repaid Jahed Parvez in the 53rd minute with a neat cross and Jahed sealed the fate of the match with 3-0 on the scoreboard.

Mohammedan was deprived of even a consolation when Augustin Walson’s cracking drive rebounded off the sidepost.

Jamal climbed to the second spot with 27 points with Mohammedans remaining on fifth position with 17 points.
