Girls fired up for facing Bhutan in the semis

Thimpu: The Bangladesh U-15 Girls National Team will face Bhutan in the semi-final of the SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship at Changlimithan Stadium in Thimpu on August 16, Thursday at 7pm. On Wednesday, the girls, pumped with their two recent victories against Pakistan and Nepal, took part in warm-up and training sessions at the stadium under the supervision of Head Coach Golam Robbani Choton & Technical & Strategical Director Paul Thomas Smalley. In order to play the final, the girls must keep on their winning streak on Thursday and the coach thinks the team is up for it. “We will give our best in the semi final match to play the final. Winning is our only option,” the coach said while guiding the girls. Team’s defender Nazma said Bhutan is a good side and they are the hosts, adding that her target is to defend well and facilitate early goals. Vice-captain Akhi Khatun emphasizes on putting pressure on the host team. “Our sole target is to win the semi-final.” Amirul Islam Babu, the team manager, promised the team would give their cent percent to win the match. He asked fans and well-wishers to pray for the team.
