Bangamata Gold Cup: Mongolia thrash Tajikistan 3-0

Dhaka: Mongolia made a winning start to their Bangamata U19 Women’s International Gold Cup 2019 campaign by completing a 3-0 rout of Tajikistan at the Bangabandu National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday. Mongolia captain Undral Tuvshinjargal broke the deadlock in the Group A opener to set the platform. Then midfielder Enkhmargad Enkhbaatar doubled Mongolia’s lead in the 28th minute. Defender Delgorzaya Nyamsuren put the cherry on top of a very tasty cake in the 69th minute. After the final whistle, prolific midfielder Enkhmargad Enkhbaatar was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match. Mongolia go top of the table with a healthy goal difference after the first match leaving Tajikistan a mountain to climb to make it to the semi-finals.
